Your Membership Options

See below for your membership options and to join online. CSEA's annual membership year spans a 12-month range beginning on July 1 and ending June 30. Dues are not prorated.

Membership in the California society is open to any Enrolled Agent who maintains their principal place of practice in California.

CRTPs, CPAs, Enrolled Agents who practice in other states, and other tax professionals may join CSEA as an Associate.

Members and Associates receive all the benefits of our established relationships with the California tax agencies and state legislature. You will receive the weekly newsletter and industry communications, enjoy access to our online Member to Member tax forum, and receive valuable discounts on education.  Voting privileges and leadership opportunities at the chapter and state level are reserved for Enrolled Agent Members.

Dues for Members and Associates

  • CSEA state dues: $250 for the membership year ending  June 30,2024  

  • Local chapter dues: $0 to $30, depending on the Chapter 

Federal Representation

CSEA is your voice with California state tax agencies and legislators, but what about the IRS and Congress?  The National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) is our national counterpart, protecting the rights of EAs in Washington, D.C. and working throughout the nation to promote the Enrolled Agent designation to the public. If you aren’t already a member of NAEA, we encourage you to join and enjoy even more professional benefits and support.  Visit the NAEA website for membership details.
