This session on current S Corp tax issues will take you through compliance, QBI, shareholder reimbursement plans, reasonable compensation, shareholder basis, entity dissolution, balance sheets, shareholder health insurance and more. We will cover new Schedules K-2, K-3 and Form 7203, tax planning for S Corps, conversion from C Corp to S, asset transfers, changes in shareholder percent, shareholder loan compliance and the latest IRS targets for S Corps.
- Develop comprehensive plans and processes to manage clients' S Corp compliance matters including Schedules K-2, K-3 and Form 7203, and reasonable compensation.
- Recognize expense and deduction issues unique to S Corps and how to maximize tax savings.
- Identify, advise, and correctly report changes to S Corp shareholder ownership, changes from another business entity converting to an S Corp, and selling or closing an S Corp.
- Demonstrate how the business side of S Corps pass through and impact the taxes, loss limitations, and basis considerations of shareholders.
