Description
This workshop offers complete examples of Form 1041, simple vs complex trusts. We'll cover Form 1041 line by line for interest, dividends, tax free income, rental property, common trust and estate expenses and more. Including allocating income and expenses between deceased and trust or estate, reporting income, expenses, and depreciation on Schedule K-1, and which expenses are deductible by the trust or estate. Plus, DNI and treatment of capital gains and charitable donations.

1. Review Form 1041 trust tax preparation line by line
2. Understand distributable net income (DNI) for a simple or complex trust
3. Learn steps to allocate income and expenses between the deceased, the trust, and beneficiaries if applicable.
4. Learn reporting rental income on Form 1041 for trusts and estates.
