Speaker Mary Philippsen, EA
Description
This course will assist tax practitioners in dealing with the death of a client. The client has been notified that a loved one has passed and that they have been named trustee of their trust. They call you and need help sorting this out. Do you send them away, or do you have the knowledge needed to assist the client? This class addresses these issues. What do you need to ask to begin with? Can you handle this, or do you need to refer it out? We will be discussing trusts, elections, tax filing requirements, and problem beneficiaries.
